Quantall advances pre-clinical research with its specialization in In Vivo services and customized bioanalytical workflows, delivered with exceptional quality and swift turnaround times. This Mountain View-based contract research organization (CRO) blends advanced technology with scientific expertise to provide cutting-edge solutions that drive progress in drug discovery.

From pharmaceutical giants to biotech innovators, Quantall serves a diverse clientele across North America and around the world. An experienced, close-knit team of experts drives its operations. They have worked together for over a decade and each member brings extensive expertise in the CRO space, and In Vivo and bioanalytical workflows. They ensure clients receive reliable and timely data that fuels informed decision-making and accelerates drug development.

“We are a highly flexible team and strive to be at the forefront of developments in the field, frequently expanding our In Vivo and bioanalytical capabilities to meet the demands of new studies,” says Julien Roeser, general manager.

Among its In Vivo offerings, Quantall provides all standard dosing routes for rodent studies, including intravenous (IV), intraperitoneal (IP), oral (PO) and subcutaneous (SC) administrations, as well as specialized routes such as intranasal (IN), intradermal (ID), intramuscular (IM) and hock injections. It also offers proficient stereotaxically-guided drug delivery, both acute and chronic, and has the surgical expertise to perform intracerebroventricular (ICV) & Intrathecal (IT) injections in order to deliver drugs directly into the brain.

A core and unique specialty at Quantall is to conduct microdialysis experiments. Quantall is equipped to implant microdialysis probes in specific brain regions to sample compounds directly from local areas, as well as in the jugular vein for systemic sampling of free circulating drug or endogenous biomarkers in freely moving subjects.

Combined with cerebrospinal fluid sampling, peripheral tissue and biofluid collection and brain dissection expertise, studies conducted at Quantall offer a wealth of readouts from a single animal. This advanced capability positions the company as a leading provider of niche pre-clinical services in the pharmaceutical research industry.

On the bioanalytical side, Quantall offers comprehensive quantitative services using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) and immunoassay platforms. Highly versatile LC-MS/MS workflows allow Quantall to work with a wide variety of biological matrices and animal species. For immunoassays, it offers large molecule analysis using advanced platforms such as ELISA and MSD.

We are a highly flexible company and strive to be at the forefront of developments in the field, frequently expanding our In Vivo and bioanalytical capabilities to meet the demands of new studies.

To support pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) studies Quantall conducts specialized analysis. Clients can choose from a catalog of pre-existing biomarker assays, which can be further customized to ensure tailored solutions for distinct needs. While the company can procure and run commercial immunoassay kits, it specializes in setting up custom PK and PD assays for customers—from antibody selection and screening to assay development and optimization in the relevant biological matrices.

This highly flexible approach is a point of pride for Quantall. It frequently adapts to meet the evolving client needs, often taking on projects that require the establishment of new capabilities, both in In Vivo and on the bioanalytical front.

To ensure all data provided to clients meets rigorous quality standards, Quantall adheres to widely accepted criteria and strictly follows established parameters regarding the timing of sample collection points, maintaining a high benchmark of protocol adherence.

Clients consistently praise Quantall for the quality of its data and experiments. Combined with fast project timelines and excellent communication throughout the process—whether during initial discussions, project execution, or follow-up—this has made it a renowned name in the Bay Area.

Meanwhile, a sister site, Quantall BV located in Groningen, Netherlands is currently focused on developing advanced proteomics workflows, specifically for untargeted protein identification. It is also building sophisticated data processing workflows to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of these untargeted protein analyses. This facility is still under development, with plans to commercialize these proteomics services in the coming months and further expand the company’s capabilities.

Quantall remains dedicated to transforming research into successful outcomes through its diverse offerings, empowering clients to reach their pre-clinical goals. Its expertise and customer-centricity position it as an indispensable ally in the journey from discovery to successful drug development.
